Background
Vivien is a dual-qualified solicitor and Fellow of CILEX with over 20 years’ experience in the legal profession, including 9+ years PQE as a solicitor, with extensive experience acting in both private practice and in-house.
Vivien’s practice covers high-value contentious construction matters (TCC litigation, arbitration, mediation, adjudication) and insurance-related claims (structural defects, fire/cladding, professional indemnity, recoveries) and managing claims from pre-action through to trial or settlement.
Vivien combines a meticulous legal approach with practical commercial awareness, helping clients to resolve disputes efficiently.

Construction Litigation: Represented clients in high-value breach of contract disputes, building and fire safety claims, as well as structural defects claims, experience of JCT and FIDIC contracts, insurance litigation and complex policy coverage issues.
International Arbitration: Acted on behalf of international clients in arbitrations arising from breach of contract, delivering strategic jurisdictional advice and seamless co-ordination with overseas counsel.
Construction Bonds and Policy Claims: Handled large-value bond warranty and policy disputes, often exceeding £500K, liaising with reinsurers and senior stakeholders across the claims cycle.
