James has over 30 years’ experience in general construction, infrastructure, PPP and PFI spaces in a variety of roles including commercial, investment and executive.
In addition to his background experience in the construction and infrastructure space James is enrolled as a Solicitor in the senior courts of England and Wales and holds a current practicing certificate.
As a legally qualified individual James has conducted and assisted in multiple adjudications, arbitration and litigated matters in addition to general dispute management in a variety of jurisdictions.

Domestic Experience
Conducting and assisting on adjudications ranging in value from GBP 350k to GBP 12m on a variety of forms including NEC3/4, NEC3 plus Z clauses/bespoke, developer bespoke agreement, JCT and FIDIC.
Successfully conducting a wrongful determination/final value adjudication for a contractor client against a major UK developer on the developers own bespoke form of contract. The wrongful determination was in respect of a purported breach of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
Assisting a client in a GBP 1m insurance claim for a total loss claim for a residential property in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
International Experience
Advising and assisting in the preparation for a multi billion dollar Arbitration for a Canadian crown corporation responsible for delivering and running a substantial rail infrastructure network on a DBFOM/PFI contract.
Advising and assisting a government client entity in the management of a ongoing contractual dispute on a $6Bn rail scheme.
